• City Annexation Meeting

  On October 5th, 1998, the City of Fernie asked ski hill residents to attend an informal meeting to consider the possibility of merger with the City.  There was a good turn out and after we presented a comparison of current services and fees as well as concerns we have with merger, it was agreed that annexation was not going to happen at this time.  We agreed with the City that it was in both our interests to keep lines of communication open and perhaps at some point in the future the issue could be revisited.
